GUIDELINES FOR LIBRARY USERS

An overdue charge of Rs. 1 per book per day will be charged if a book is kept beyond the period of loan.
1.All Library materials must be properly checked out at the counter before leaving the library. The user is personally responsible for its prompt and safe return and subject to fines and replacement penalties for damaged or lost items.
2.Any persons found guilty of theft of any Library property will be made accountable as per the College regulations.
3.Students may come to the Library during any open hours for reading/ reference purposes. Books will be issued only during the respective scheduled time as displayed on the notice board.
4.Students must stand in Queue to issue books.
5.The condition of the books must be thoroughly examined by the user at the time of issue. If any damage to the book is found at the time of returning, the book should be replaced by the user.
6.In case, any book is lost by the user, the user should replace it with the same book if available in the market should pay the cost of the replacement with 10% additional charge of the lost book other book referred by the Library In charge.
7.Those books which have only limited number of copies will be issued only for shorter periods or may not even be issued. The decision in such cases will be made by the Library staff.
8.All bags must be kept on the racks at the entrance .During winter season, users should keep their jackets open while leaving the library. If needed users must be ready for inspection at the time of leaving the Library.
9.Library cannot be held responsible for the loss of user's personal belongings. Money, mobile, license, ATM cards and other valuables should not be left unattended.
10. Users should maintain silence inside the library and create a peaceful reading environment for everyone .
11. A book can be renewed only once by the same user.
12. Books are issued against the user's own ID card only. No books will be issued against another person's card.
13. Students are encouraged to use the E-library facilities. Computer must be switched off after use.
14. Ensure that you do not leave your pen drive on the computer.
